Atlas Copco to accumulate Lewa and Geveke

Atlas Copco has agreed to purchase Lewa GmbH and Geveke BV and their subsidiaries from Japan’s Nikkiso Co Ltd in a €670 million deal.
Founded in Censored , Germany’s Lewa manufactures diaphragm metering pumps, course of pumps and complete metering techniques. The firm employs round 1200 individuals and had 2021 revenues of €233 million.
“Lewa has a long tradition of supporting clients and growing main industrial move technology for efficient, precise and protected handling of fluids,” said Andrew Walker, president of Atlas Copco’s Power Technique Business Area. “Through this acquisition we’re constructing our presence and know-how offering within optimistic displacement pumps.”
Geveke, which was based in 1874, distributes compressors and engineers advanced and complex process pump installations. The company is headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, has 173 staff and had revenues of approximately €61 million in 2021.
“Geveke has sturdy engineering capability, providing full industrial pump solutions from idea to commissioning,” mentioned Atlas Copco’s Walker.
The acquisition is expected to be accomplished through the second quarter 2022.
The major part of the acquired businesses will have its base in the Power and Flow division within Atlas Copco’s Power Technique Business Area and a smaller part will be a part of the Service division within Atlas Copco’s Compressor Technique Business Area.
