The Thai Cabinet Committee has determined to take a firmer stance on ads that they are saying might instigate social harms and messages that reference the monarchy. They plan to issue laws and regulations to manage such harmful advertisements.
Deputy government spokesperson Traisulee Traisoranakul says the committee has permitted the draft ministerial laws toward advertisements or services that might trigger hazard and harm to residents of Thailand. They also permitted a draft proposal to rescind commercials of alcoholic drinks and caffeinated drinks in movie theatres and on billboards.
