7 men arrested for allegedly posing as monks, asking for money donations

Before are accused of posing as monks to scam residents within the japanese province Rayong by asking for money donations. Reports say police discovered the boys carrying pretend monk identification cards.
The seven “monks” have been seen as unconventional as they refused to accept food and other choices, and solely accepted cash. A native monk then reported them to the authorities and informed Thai media, the men are dressing like monks, but they’re “devils.”

When officers went to investigate, the group reportedly refused to speak and tried to flee. Officers say they had been able to seize seven pretend monk identification documents, two knives, a wood stick, cash, and monk robes.
The group allegedly confessed that they shaped the group in Nakhon Sawan province and purchased the pretend paperwork for 5,000 baht last month. They started travelling round, posing as monks and asking for cash because the offerings.
The police officers from Klaeng Police Station say the lads will face charges for forgery and carrying weapons in public..
